hundreds of miles of bush trails and old logging roads in the
Laurentian Mountains--no trail pass required.
Or, enjoy
the season in a traditional way with Oiseau Bay's
annual Ice
Harvest, snowshoeing, ice skating, or cross-country skiing. Hike
the frozen river to windswept Oiseau Rock to view the ancient pictographs on the
face of Oiseau Rock in a way that simply can't be done when
the river isn't frozen. Or, give ice climbing on Toronto wall a try
(below). The possibilities are endless. Other activities
include ice fishing, timber sports, and bird watching.
